Jeptha Creed is a family-owned business focused on farm to table and ground to glass products. The “Creed” in Jeptha Creed is simple: they are a family who believes in creating more than just great spirits, great food and a great time – they are creating an experience for their customers unlike any other.
Jeptha Creed is all about honoring traditions and their heritage. They’re also driven, creative and more than just a little rebellious, and that means they love the idea of bringing back old fashion in new and exciting ways.
One way they did this was by having the Whisky Chicks out for a night at their 64 acre farm and distillery. Located in the Knobs of Shelbyville, Kentucky, only 28 miles from Louisville and 51 miles from Lexington, it was the perfect opportunity to enjoy good food and even better Moonshine & Vodka with the Nethery family.
The event was held on Thursday, July 20th from 6:30-8:30pm. Tickets were $16 for Whisky Chicks Members and $20 for non-members. This included 2 cocktails, tastings, an amazing spread of homemade southern food and access to the inside event space and outside patio. Both Joyce and Autumn Nethery were in attendance to answer questions and lead us through a powerpoint slide where we learned about their family, farm and unique distilling process. We tasted their moonshines and vodkas, since their bourbon is not quite ready for consumption yet.
