We went on a behind-the-scenes, historic tour of Stitzel-Weller Distillery, the Cathedral of Bourbon, with the Bulleit Frontier Whiskey crew. This was a night to let your hair down and pull up your sleeves as we got bourbon ready for the Kentucky Derby!
Before taking a 45-minute walking tour of the property with private access to newly refurbished buildings, guests were treated to appetizers. A formal tasting of Bulleit 10 Year, I.W. Harper 15 Year and Blade & Bow.
The best part of the night may have been learning firsthand how to make a Mint Julep by The Pearl’s very own, Molly Cochran (she happens to be a team member at Bulleit, too!). Molly’s spin on a classic Mint Julep had everyone’s creative juices flowing just in time for them to entertain guests on the first Saturday in May. She used a ginger simple syrup to mix things up!
Each guest received a ticket for a complimentary tour at Stitzel-Weller Distillery and 15% off merchandise in the gift shop.
