DESCRIPTION:The Whisky Chicks are taking a trip to Kentucky’s capital for a progressive tasting and tour at Buffalo Trace Distillery. \nOn Thursday\, November 8th from 6:30-9pm guests will enjoy a private tour of the Buffalo Trace campus in Frankfort\, including the new Bourbon Pompeii attraction. \nThe evening will begin with a welcoming cocktail in the Visitors’ Center before heading to Warehouse C where all the Taylor products are stored and aged. Following this short walking tour\, we will take an in-depth look at Bourbon Pompeii\, nicknamed after the excavated ruins of Col. E.H. Taylor’s late 1800s operation. After learning the history of this miraculous discovery\, we will make our way to the Old Taylor House where we will be lead through a guided tasting of Buffalo Trace Distillery bourbons. \nThe night will end at the Clubhouse with cocktails and appetizers. \nEarly Bird tickets are $30 per person. After Monday\, October 16th\, tickets will be $35 per person.  \n**Guests will provide their own transportation to and from the event.**

DESCRIPTION:Jefferson’s Reserve has generously offered the Whisky Chicks 30 FREE tickets to the Trent DiGiuro Foundation Polo Match at Oxmoor Farm (behind Oxmoor Mall) on Saturday\, October 7th. We have limited the free tickets to 2 per person. If you would like additional tickets\, the Whisky Chicks can purchase adult tickets for $15 and child tickets for $5. All children 10 years old and younger are free. \nTailgating is highly encouraged (prize for the best tailgate theme!)\, but if that’s not your style\, the Whisky Chicks are lucky enough to have our own tent right next to Jefferson’s! This will give all our members easy access to their complimentary\, educational tastings and lounge areas for relaxing & mingling. \nThis is a family-friendly event where kids can enjoy face painting\, a bouncy house\, pony rides and a petting zoo while parents partake in the silent auction and 50/50 raffle. You also have the choice to BYO food and drink or indulge in the food or cash bar provided by Ladyfingers Catering. \nGates open at 2pm with the Polo Match beginning at 3pm. Matches typically last 2 hours with a “halftime” in between where folks can get drinks and socialize on the field. The day will end with live bluegrass music by Hickory & Friends from 5pm til dark. \nAll proceeds benefit The Trent DiGiuro Foundation’s mission to raise funds for and to make contributions to various educational scholarship funds and scholarships in the name of Trent DiGiuro. DESCRIPTION:Go behind the scenes like only the Whisky Chicks can.  \nWe will begin our day at the Whisky Chicks Loft with morning refreshments before beginning our journey on a luxurious bus to the Jim Beam American Stillhouse in Clermont\, Kentucky. Upon arrival\, we’ll be met by Whisky Ambassador extraordinaire\, Beth Burrows\, who will be our hostess for the day. We will spend most of our time touring the distillery to see where the magic happens\, with a few stops along the way for cocktails\, tastings and shopping in their on-site gift shop. \nAs part of our visit\, we will be granted exclusive access to the Beam Global Innovation Center where time-honored traditions are combined with science and technology. We get to see the “white coats” in action as they bring to life some of the most exciting\, cutting-edge products in the market. \nYour ticket will include morning refreshments\, transportation to and from the distillery and downtown Louisville\, a VIP tour with tastings\, lunch & snacks throughout the day. \nDue to the limited number of tickets there are no refunds\, but tickets may be transferred. \nAttendees must be 21 years of age. We have joined with local bars to host the fall Whisky Chicks Strut. Fifty women of all different ages\, demographics & backgrounds (but with matching t-shirts!) will be strutting from location to location to enjoy a signature cocktail and specialty appetizers at each location. The participating locations will be Parlour\, Pearl Street Taphouse & Match Cigar Bar. \nThis event usually sells out in a matter of days. There will only be 50 tickets sold\, so get your girlfriends together and purchase tickets before it’s too late! In the 1880’s they were a powerhouse in the industry. Unfortunately\, Prohibition forced them to close their doors in 1917 and the Peerless label laid dormant—until now.\n\n\n \n\n\n100 years later\, original founder Henry Kraver’s legacy lives on through his great grandson\, Corky Taylor\, and Corky’s son\, Carson Taylor. Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. will be releasing the brand’s first whiskey\, Peerless Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey. The Whisky Chicks get to be among the first to have a taste of this heavily-anticipated spirit.\n\n\n \n\n\nDuring the evening of Wednesday\, June 14th from 6:30-8:30pm\, we will toast the evening with specialty cocktails prepared by Over the 9 mixologist Emily Wayman. Guests will have the chance to mix and mingle\, enjoy light appetizers and casually explore the distillery at their own pace. There will be guest ambassadors available throughout the facility to share their passion for Peerless and answer any questions you might have.\n\n\n \n\n\nAt some point in the evening\, we will gather together as a group as head distiller\, Caleb Kilburn\, leads us through a tasting of the new rye. At the time we were unsure of the turnout or if any other women would be interested in this whisky affair\, but we were pleasantly surprised. We soon realized that the women of Louisville and beyond love their Bourbon and want to learn more about the Kentucky-made spirit! Since that time we have hosted over 50+ events\, raised over $70\,000 for charity and brought together 1\,000+ women to mix\, mingle and learn about bourbon. \nWe are thrilled that the team at Brown-Forman has graciously offered to open up their doors to help us celebrate the 3-year anniversary of the Whisky Chicks! We have been invited to celebrate on their campus at the Bourbon Street Cafe in the Brown-Forman Administrative building. The evening will feature an impressive lineup of cocktails and tastings\, including many of the Whisky Chicks’ favorites like Old Forester\, Woodford Reserve and Cooper’s Craft. Because we are rendezvousing on their stomping grounds we are crossing our fingers that some of the cook kids of Brown-Forman will grace us with their presence.
